A 18-business delegation from the southern city of Incheon of the Republic of Korea visited Ho Chi Minh City on Oct. 25 to promote trade and investment.

As part of the visit, the delegation participated in the Vietnam-RoK trade exchange programme that was organised by the municipal Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) and met with businesses in the city’s District 5.

Nguyen Anh Ngoc, Deputy Director of ITPC, said Ho Chi Minh City is an attractive destination for business and investment cooperation and culture exchange. He pledged to support and facilitate RoK enterprises’ investment and business in Vietnam .

The same day, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the RoK’s Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City co-hosted an exhibition with the participation of 40 enterprises from Chungnam province of the RoK to introduce the enterprises’ major business fields.

RoK’s Consul General Oh Jae Hack, said Vietnam and the RoK are strengthening cooperation in the fields of politics, economics, culture, education and diplomacy.

The RoK is one of the large investment and trade partners of Vietnam with two-way trade between the two countries reaching 12 billion USD in 2010, Oh Jae Hack added./.
