Vietnam and the German state of Brandenburg hold great potentials for cooperation in clean energy and vocational training, said a senior official.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Do Hoa Binh made the affirmation at a working visit to the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU Cottbus) and a centre for construction skills practice in Cottbus city of Brandenburg state.

As one of the fastest growing economies in the world, Vietnam will need a lot of energy sources, especially renewable and clean energies such as wind and solar power in the near future, Binh said.

According to the diplomat, electricity-generating models and devices introduced by BTU Cottbus are suitable to Vietnam, particularly isolate, remote and island areas thanks to their small designs, reasonable prices and easy use.

Regarding vocational training, Binh spoke highly of the centre’s effective training model, affirming that he would introduce German businesses to Vietnamese partners and work as a bridge for German firms to invest in Vietnam.

During the stay in Cottbus city, the diplomat also met with Lord Mayor of Cottbus city Frank Szymanski and worked with the Vietnamese People’s Association in Cottbus and neighboring regions./.
