The festival, the second of its kind, received 138 works with over 700 photos by 29 VNA journalists in the south.

The best 55 works in the two categories of press photo and photo of the country and people were showcased at an exhibition themed “The Southern Land”.

All of them reflect current events and hot issues such as the collapse of Ghenh Bridge, HCM City’s measures to deal with fish deaths on Nhieu Loc-Thi Nghe Canal, and efforts against drought and saltwater intrusion.

In addition, the displayed photos also capture the beauty of the southern land and the life of its people.
