The Vietnam Professional Football Company (VPF) and the Japan Professional Football League (J.League) on August 7 signed a cooperation agreement to promote Vietnamese football.

Under the agreement, the two sides will share information and experience in organizing tournaments and managing clubs. They will build a number of training programs for coaches, referees, players, medical care and marketing as well.

The agreement also underlines the cooperation in organizing friendly matches between Vietnamese and Japanese football clubs as well as providing training courses to young players of different age.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, VPF chairman Vo Quoc Thang said that the agreement would help create more opportunities for the development of Vietnamese football in general and the country’s fledging private football management in particular.-VNA
