The event was the first held in Vietnam under the sponsorship of the Singapore Industrial Automation Association (SIAA), seeing the participation of over 60 organisations from ten countries.
The exhibition is seen as a bridge for foreign producers and investors to develop a business network in Vietnam, as well as create a launch pad for the oil and gas sector in the city.
A symposium on relevant advances and safe techniques and an exchange night for businesses and their clients are other components of the event.
As a spearhead economic sector of Vietnam, the oil and gas industry has made great contributions to the country's GDP, energy security and food security and national sovereignty protection in past years.
The country has so far partnered with several major oil and gas powers such as Russia, Kuwait and Kazakhstan.-VNA
