A seminar discussing how to promote national brands in both domestic and foreign markets in the integration process was held in Hanoi on June 9.

Addressing the function, jointly held by the daily Tin Tuc (News) of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and Vinacafe Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company, VNA General Director Tran Mai Huong stressed the significance of the promotion of Vietnam Vale, not only to the country but also to each enterprise, locality and citizen, especially in the process of integration and globalisation.

According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thanh Bien, the National Brand Programme-Vietnam Value, is being carried by the Government and aimed at promoting the country’s image while protecting domestic quality and prestigious brand names.

It also looks to help Vietnamese enterprises to make a firm foothold in local market and develop their brand names, he said.

To achieve this, enterprises have to create high-quality products that meet the demand of international markets, Bien stressed.

General Director Pham Quang Vu of Vinacafe Bien Hoa JSC, which was twice granted the national brand name award, said the event was a good opportunity for his company to show its responsibility in developing and protecting the national brand.

Tin Tuc Editor-in-Chief Le Duy Truyen affirmed that building national brand names is an enduring process that attaches to each enterprise’s operation.

Participants at the seminar also reviewed two years’ implementation of the National Brand Programme./.
