Thailand’s Chanthaburi Province is preparing to hold the 11th World Jewellery and ‘Khong Dee Muang Chan’ Fair, while inviting Thais and foreigners to visit its newly constructed Gems & Jewellery Museum, claimed to be the biggest in Asia.

The event is a joint effort of the Chanthaburi Gems and Jewellery Traders Association, the provincial administration, other local administrative offices, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

The fair will take place at Chanthaburi Gems & Jewellery Centre from November 29 to December 7 with the aims to promote Chanthaburi Gems & Jewellery industry to the international level, and stimulate the local economy and tourism.

The event will also provide a channel for gems and jewellery producers and traders to negotiate, giving the local gems industry to expand its market to the international community. It will also showcase gems and jewellery products designed by international jewellery designers.

A wide range of gems and jewellery selections in different sizes and designs will be offered to event goers along with local food and OTOP goods.

Several other activities include cultural performances by several youth groups of the province and a ceremony of unveiling Chanthaburi’s gemstone mine. All are invited to visit the biggest and most modern Gem & Jewellery museum in Asia.-VNA
