Vietnamese martial artists won a gold medal and two silver medals at the Asian Wushu Championships at Phu Tho Gymnasium in HCM City on Aug. 23.

Nguyen Manh Quyen earned a gold medal in the men's gunshu event with a score of 9.72 points, followed by Cho Seung-jae of the Republic of Korea (9.68 points) and Chinese Macau's Jia Rui (9.67 points).

The two silver medals came from Hoang Thi Phuong Giang and Duong Thuy Vy in the women's jianshu event.

On Aug. 22, Vietnamese martial artists won two silver medals.

The tournament will end on Aug. 25 with finals both in men's and women's shanshou categories.-VNA
