At the ECVN, Anh praised the Protestants and pastors of the Church for following guidelines of the Party and policies and laws of the State, and actively responding to patriotic emulation movements.

He urged the pastors to continue guiding followers in practicing their religion in line with law, and joining the local authorities in the national construction and defence.

Pastor Nguyen Huu Mac briefed the Politburo member on main activities of the Church in the past time, including the implementation of Directive No. 01/2005/CT-TTg on tasks regarding Protestantism.

The Church was presented with the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit for its contributions to realising the directive, he said, affirming its continued coordination with local authorities to take better care for religious followers.

Meeting leaders of the Hanoi Archdiocese, Anh informed them about the country’s socio-economic achievements, which have been actively contributed by Protestants nationwide.
