A 100MW solar power plant worth 100 million USD will be built in the Mekong Delta province of Long An under the cooperation between BCG Bang Duong Joint Venture and Hanwha Group of the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Long An (VNA) – A 100MW solar power plant worth 100million USD will be built in the Mekong Delta province of Long An under the cooperationbetween BCG Bang Duong Joint Venture and Hanwha Group of the Republic of Korea(RoK).

The project will cover an area of 125 ha in Thanh An commune, Thanh Hoadistrict, according to Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran VanCan.

Construction of the plan is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2018, andit is expected to be operational in 2019.

The plant is hoped to increase electricity supply to the national grid, reduceclimate change, protect the environment while promoting the localsocio-economic development.

BCG Bang Duong Joint Venture is specialising in developing infrastructure, realestate and renewable projects, while Hanwha is working in petrochemical,project construction, finance, tourism and entertainment, and renewable energy.-VNA

Ministry of Home Affairs to apply KPIs in public employee evaluation

The Ministry of Home Affairs will accelerate reforms under the theme “breakthrough momentum,” focusing on institutional improvement and resource mobilization. Public order crime drops 22.55% in first half

In the field of economic crime, 2,096 cases involving 4,194 suspects were prosecuted in the first half. For corruption and position-related crimes, 370 cases and 1,042 suspects were brought to trial. Meanwhile, police uncovered 11,687 drug-related cases involving 22,863 individuals.
