Nam Dinh (VNA) – Nearly 1,000 antiques are on display at an auction in the northern province of Nam Dinh on February 14 as part of Lunar New Year (Tet) celebrations.

The event, hosted by the Thien Truong Antiques Association and the UNESCO Vietnamese Antiques Research and Collection Club, aimed to raise funds for charitable activities.

The activity also gave antique lovers across the country an opportunity to share their experience and learn the origins and dates of ancient objects.

The objects included glazed terra-cotta, ceramic, wood and iron, dating back to the Ly, Tran and Le dynasties.

In recent years, organisations and individuals in Nam Dinh donated nearly 100 antiques with historical and cultural values to State agencies. Members of the Thien Truong Antiques Association added nearly 9,000 antiques to their collection, including more than 4,600 Vietnamese ones.-VNA
