Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam confirmed 12 more imported COVID-19 cases from 6am-6pm on November 2, reported the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Three of them are under quarantine and treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi’s outlying district of Dong Anh, two at Khanh Hoa Hospital of Tropical Diseases, and the remaining at the Hoa Binh provincial General Hospital.

As of November 2, Vietnam recorded 1,192 patients positive to SARS-CoV-2, 691 of them were locally-transmitted.

The same day, two patients were given the all-clear, raising the total number of recovered cases to 1,065.

Among patients under treatment at medical establishments, nine tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, seven twice and six others thrice. There are not any patients under critical conditions now.

As many as 14,775 who had close contact with patients or entered from pandemic-hit areas are under quarantine; 174 of them are at hospitals, 13,327 at other establishments and 1,274 at homes.

Vietnam has so far gone through 61 days without local transmissions, with pandemic outbreaks basically under control./.
