1.3 billion USD in ODA mobilised for power development

The National Power Transmission Corporation has mobilised 70.65 trillion VND (3.36 billion USD), including 1.3 billion USD of official development assistance (ODA), in the past five years for its power projects.

Currently, the firm is reinforcingcooperation with traditional partners, including the World Bank, theJapan International Cooperation Agency and the Asian Development Bank,to attract more investment.

Apart from ODA providedby major sponsors, the firm is also seeking investment from otherinternational financial institutions in the form of export credits.

At the same time, the corporation is expanding bilateral collaborationand partnership with ASEAN members and regional countries in the field.

The firm announced that its target in the next fiveyears is to build a reasonable power transmission price to ensurecapital for its production while maintaining financial independence andmobilising adequate investment for the development of the national powertransmission system.-VNA
