The charitable programme was jointly organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in the US and the Global Community Support Funds (GCSF).
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong thanked individuals and organisations for their donations and support to the programme.
Marcia Selva from the GCSF spoke highly of the goodwill and contributions of the Embassy to holding the event.
She stressed that the event will help improve living and studying conditions for disadvantaged kids in Vietnam.-VNA
