2012 National Architecture Awards announced

Accordingly, the Dolphin Plaza building located in Hanoi ’s outskirts district of Tu Liem won the first prize.

The organising board also presented five second prizes, 17 third prizes and 15 consolation prizes together with certificates of merit to two young architects and units with outstanding achievements.

As the 10th so far, the biennial Awards was jointly held by the VAA, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to honour outstanding architects and architectural works throughout the country.

As many as 15 publications, 24 urban planning and designing projects and 101 architectural works were sent to compete for the prizes.

The awards will be presented during a ceremony to mark 65th founding anniversary of the VAA in Hanoi on April 25.-VNA
