Of the newly infected cases, the southern region reported the largest number, 16, the north, 10, the central region, 9 and the Central Highlands , 2.
To date, 628 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
The remaining 487 are under quarantine and being treated. All are in stable conditions.
The epidemic is developing complicatedly. To restrict its spreading, the Ministry of Health is working with localities, related agencies, foreign countries and international organisations to closely control it and take preventive measures.
According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), as of August 8, 205,783 people have been confirmed to have contracted the A/H1N1 virus in 168 countries and territories, resulting in 1,569 deaths./.
