Vietnamese audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the first Hollywood 3D cartoon dubbed in Vietnamese “ Rio ” as from April 8 – the day it is premiered throughout the word.

The project is jointly carried out by the Megastar Media Company and the US-based 20th Century Fox Film Corporation. All procedures regarding the selection of Vietnamese actors and actresses, acting, voice dubbing and harmony are overseen by the movie’s Director Carlos Saldanha and filming crew.

Megastar chairman Brian Hall said the project is aimed at expanding the group of viewers, especially children and elderly people who find it difficult to read the film's subtitles. “The dubbing of Vietnamese for the movie makes it friendlier to Vietnamese audience,” he said.

The film tells a story about Blu, a long-tailed parrot, which thinks he is the last descendant of his species. When Blu finds that there is a female parrot named Jewel, he leaves his home in Minnesota for Rio de Janeiro.

The fate brings the two parrots together during the unforgettable trip, which helps them understand the friendship, love, bravery as well as how to open themselves up to miracles that life offers along the way.

In the movie to be screened in Vietnam, actor Minh Tiep dubs the voice of Blu and actress Minh Hang dubs the voice of Jewel./.
