The top 40 candidates in the final round of the 2014 Miss Vietnam pageant will show off their inner and outer on Phu Quoc Island in southern Kien Giang province from November 23 to December 6.
The organisation board announced this at a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City on November 20.
Contestants will take part in traditional categories such as wearing the “ao dai” and participating in a question and answer session, as well as a number of side events, such as visiting historical and cultural relic sites, promoting the island’s tourist attractions, organising charitable activities, and participating in exchanges with naval officials.
A special art performance is also planned.
The winner will receive a crown and 300 million VND (14,150 USD), while second and third place will be presented with 150 million VND (7,000 USD) and 100 million VND (4,700 USD), respectively.
Additional awards include Miss Talent, Miss Beach, Miss Ao Dai, Miss Beautiful Face and Miss People’s Choice.-VNA
