40 contestants to compete in national beauty contest

The top 40 candidates in the final round of the 2014 Miss Vietnam pageant will show off their inner and outer on Phu Quoc Island in southern Kien Giang province from November 23 to December 6.

The organisation board announced this at a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City on November 20.

Contestants will take part in traditional categories such as wearingthe “ao dai” and participating in a question and answer session, as wellas a number of side events, such as visiting historical and culturalrelic sites, promoting the island’s tourist attractions, organisingcharitable activities, and participating in exchanges with navalofficials.

A special art performance is also planned.

The winner will receive a crown and 300 million VND (14,150 USD),while second and third place will be presented with 150 million VND(7,000 USD) and 100 million VND (4,700 USD), respectively.

Additional awards include Miss Talent, Miss Beach, Miss Ao Dai, Miss Beautiful Face and Miss People’s Choice.-VNA

The circular establishes a unified benchmark for foreign language proficiency across the national education system, providing a foundation for curriculum design, teaching, testing, assessment, and certification. It is expected to help learners better map out their language development pathways while enabling educational institutions to improve training quality and strengthen articulation between different levels of education.

Two wanted for abusing religious cover to undermine national unity policy

The fugitives are Di (also known as Siu Di), born in 1941, and Dinh Yum (also known as Dinh Jum or Ba Koih), born in 1963, from Ba Na ethnic minority group in Gia Lai province, and hold Vietnamese nationality. They have been charged under Clause 1, Article 116 of the Penal Code for undermining the national unity policy.

Support delivered to Khmer households for traditional New Year
