51 bodies of crashed AirAsia jet victims recovered
Indonesia’s National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) said on January
16 that 51 bodies of victims on the ill-fated AirAsia Flight QZ8501 had
been found so far.

According to Basarnas, 48 bodies have been flown to Surabaya for identification while the remaining three, including 2 females and a male, were to be lifted to Surabaya on January 17.
A total of 38 bodies have been identified.
Basarnas are in the rush to recover victim bodies from the wreckage of the airplane that crashed into the sea on December 28.-VNA
