As many as 907 Vietnamese workers had returned home safely from Libya by 19:20 on February 27, said an official of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

As scheduled, an additional 50 guest workers from the African country will arrive at the Noi Bai International Airport at 23:00 pm on the same day and 40 others will fly home via Thailand a day later, said Nguyen Xuan Tao, Deputy Head of the Labour Management Division under the Overseas Labour Management Department.

So far, 7,400 Vietnamese workers have had plans to evacuate from Libya , of whom 3,400 workers left for the neighbouring countries before going home.

Vietnam ’s relevant ministries and agencies are seeking ways to bring home more than 3,000 other workers, most of them are now in Tripoli city and Benghazi port of Libya .

Most of the 640 workers who returned home on January 27 were sent to Libya by the Sona International Manpower Supply & Trade Company (SONA), the Vinaconex Trading and Manpower Export Centre (Vinaconex MEC) and the Labour Export and Training Ltd. Co./.
