A glimpse of Japan in Hanoi

Japan’s Genki festival in Vietnam 2011, an entertainment and arts event, will take place in Hanoi on April 16-17, aiming at bringing Japanese culture closer to Vietnamese and enhancing the friendship between the two countries.
Japan’s Genki festival in Vietnam 2011, an entertainment and arts event,will take place in Hanoi on April 16-17, aiming at bringing Japaneseculture closer to Vietnamese and enhancing the friendship between thetwo countries.

The two-day festival will have variousactivities, including displays of silk cherry flowers and Japaneselanterns, food introduction, exhibition of large-famed paintings on fourseasons in Japan, Cosplay performance, and Yosakoi dance.

Duringthe festival, the organising board will sell souvenirs to raise fundfor children who suffer from Agent Orange at the Hoa Binh village inThanh Xuan district, Hanoi along with launching a campaign to helpJapanese victims of recent quake and tsunami.

The festival, whichwill take place at the Giang Vo Exhibition and Fair Centre, isorganised by the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism incollaboration with the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam./.

Great National Unity Festival to be held abroad for first time

The festival aims to promote the traditions of the VFF, affirm the value of the great national unity bloc, and strengthen ties between Vietnamese communities abroad and the homeland. A festival of this scale can provide more performance opportunities while enabling Vietnamese and international musicians and artists from different generations to meet, learn and connect.
