Hanoi (VNA) – TheHanoi People’s Committee will host a State-level meeting celebrating the 100th anniversary of Russia’s October Revolution (November 17) onNovember 5 with the participation of over 3,500 people.

Besides, cultural and art exchanges will be taking place across the city.

A wide range of activities willbe organisedin Ho Chi Minh City to mark the event.

Aphoto exhibition will take place on Nguyen Hue Street from November 1-10,featuring the Vietnam – Russia friendship as part of the programme titled“Russian days in HCM City”.

A number of art performanceswill be held on November 4-5 to celebrate the event.

The HCMCity Unionof Friendship Organisations and the Vietnam – RussiaFriendship Association will jointly host a meeting on the occasion while themunicipal Department of Information and Communication willhold anexhibition on Russian books.-VNA

No “blind spots” in crackdown on smuggling, counterfeit goods

In the Jan-April period, authorities nationwide uncovered and handled nearly 44,000 cases related to smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, while initiating 1,464 criminal cases involving 2,277 suspects, according to the National Steering Committee for Combating Smuggling, Commercial Fraud and Counterfeit Goods (National Steering Committee 389).

Hanoi steps up crackdown on counterfeit goods, IP infringements

The agency has set a target of increasing the number of handled cases by at least 20% compared to the same period last year between May 7 and 30. Inspection and monitoring activities will continue beyond May 30 on a regular, focused and systematic basis across the city.
