The Asian Development Bank (ADB) on July 18 launched a technical assistance project for three class-2 cities in the target provinces of Quang Nam , Dak Lak and Ha Tinh.
ADB has pledged 1 million USD to the project, which will help Tam Ky , Buon Ma Thuot and Ha Tinh cities to improve their transport and drainage systems as well as solid waste management.
The short-term goal of the project is to enable the target cities to design their investment plans meeting environment and social safety regulations of Vietnam and ADB.
Along with Da Nang city, the project’s beneficiary cities are expected to contribute to boosting economic development in the East-West Corridor and the central region, including the Central Highland of Tay Nguyen.-VNA
