Kuala Lumpur (VNA) –Another piece of suspected plane debris from the missing Malaysia Airlines flight has been discovered in South Africa, Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai said on March 29.

Speaking with the press in Kuala Lumpur, the minister revealed the debris found on March 28 is under investigation to check whether it belonged to the Boeing 777-200ER which disappeared from radar in 2014.

He added there have been six pieces of suspected plane debris from the missing MH370 which went missing on March 8, 2014 found so far. There were 239 passengers and crew members on board, the flight en route to Beijing after taking off from Kuala Lumpur.

The flight’s journey was said to have ended in the South Indian Ocean. Searching activities on a large area of 120,000 square kilometers is expected to conclude in June, 2016.-VNA
