Aerobic Vietnam gain momentum ahead of SEA Games 32

Vietnam won a gold, two silver and two bronze medals at the Suzuki Aerobic World Cup 2023 in Tokyo, Japan, from April 20-24, which gave momentum to the athletes to compete at the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32).

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam won a gold, twosilver and two bronze medals at the Suzuki Aerobic World Cup 2023 in Tokyo,Japan, from April 20-24, which gave momentum to the athletes to compete at theupcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32).

The gold medal was awarded to the group performance of Le Hoang Phong, NguyenChe Thanh, Nguyen Viet Anh, Vuong Hoai An and Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi.

This is the last tournament for the Vietnameseaerobic team before SEA Games 32, slated for May in Cambodia, and it provided avaluable opportunity for them to sharpen their skills, according to VicePresident and General Secretary of the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation Phan ThuyLinh.

The Suzuki Aerobics World Cup 2023 Gymnasts, held bythe World Gymnastics Federation, brought together gymnasts from 17 countries.

At SEA Games 31, which took place in Vietnam lastyear, the Vietnamese aerobic team bagged three gold and two silver medals. Theyaim to bring home from two to three golds at SEA Games 32./.

Under the tournament format, the semifinals and final will be played over two legs. Vietnam will travel to Malaysia for the first leg on August 16 before hosting the second leg on August 19.
