- Vietnam hopes that the UK will continue to help Vietnam improve its medical capacity, develop the pharmaceutical industry and build a resilient health system, President Vo Van Thuong told UK Ambassador to Vietnam Iain Frew during a reception on April 28.
The Vietnamese State leader expressed his pleasure at the strong development of the Vietnam – UK strategic partnership in many fields, suggesting that the two sides should take advantage of the UK – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA) to step up trade and investment cooperation, contributing to speeding up post-pandemic economic recovery.Read full text

- Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue held talks with Speaker of the Senate of Uruguay Beatriz Argimon Cedeira and Speaker of the Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay Sebastian Andujar following a welcome ceremony in Montevideo on April 27 morning (local time).
The hosts affirmed that leaders of the parliament of Uruguay attach importance to Chairman Hue’s visit and believe that it will contribute to strengthening friendly cooperation between the two countries.Read full text

- National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, Speaker of the Senate and Vice President of Uruguay Beatriz Argimon, and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Uruguay Sebastian Andujar on April 27 (local time) signed a cooperation agreement between the two parliaments.
The signing at the office of the Uruguay parliament was held within the framework of the official visit by Hue.Read full text

-Chairman Hue the same day witnessed Speaker of the Senate of Uruguay Beatriz Argimon Cedeira and Speaker of the Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay Sebastian Andujar signing a resolution to establish the Uruguay-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group with eight members.
The three leaders then attended a ceremony where the Uruguay-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group and the Vietnam-Uruguay Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group made their debut.Read full text

- National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue held talks with Gustavo Penadés, President of the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) Parliament (PARLASUR), and PARLASUR's vice presidents - Celso Russomanno, Tomas Bittar and Cecilia Britto, in Montevideo, Uruguay on April 27 (Uruguay time), as part of the former’s official visit to Uruguay.
During the talks, Gustavo Penadés said he was impressed by Vietnam’s dynamic development, emphasizing that PARLASUR wishes to strengthen cooperation with the National Assembly of Vietnam because of the Southeast Asian nation’s important strategic role in the region and the world.Read full text

-  Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou has told Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue that he hoped Uruguay and Vietnam will continue to increase the exchange of high-level delegations and delegations between ministries and sectors, and expand people-to-people exchanges, thus further deepening the bilateral relations.

- National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue had a meeting with Mauricio Zunino, Acting Mayor of Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay, on April 27 (local time).

- Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and Secretary of Sports of Uruguay Sebastián Bauzá have agreed to enhance bilateral sport cooperation in principle and assigned relevant units to draft a cooperation agreement for signing.
