- State President Luong Cuong held a working session with the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee of Thanh Hoa on December 5 to discuss the implementation of the 13th National Party Congress’s Resolution and the resolution of the provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure, as part of his working trip to the central province.
To realise the province's development goals and strategic vision, the President stressed the need to build a clean, strong, streamlined and effective Party organisation, administrations and political system, with a contingent of officials with integrity, competence and innovative thinking. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 5 laid stress on the development of modern railway systems in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, saying it is a significant move to settle traffic congestion and environmental pollution while promoting economic growth in the two major cities in line with directions issued by the Politburo on railway transport and infrastructure.

Tokyu, one of Japan's oldest and largest conglomerates, operates in various sectors, including railway, transport, retail, culture, and education, with a particular focus on urban development. - The third Vietnam-India security dialogue at deputy ministerial level took place in Hanoi on December 5, co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung and Indian Deputy National Security Advisor Pavan Kapoor.
