-USTexas Tech University’s Vietnam Centre and Sam Johnson Vietnam Archive hashanded over a collection of diaries and letters of Vietnamese soldiers, mostlyof those who had died during the wartime in Vietnam, to their families andrelatives at a ceremony in Hanoi on June 2.
According to the organiser - the “Trai tim Nguoilinh Viet Nam” (The Heart of Vietnamese Soldiers) organisation, the collectioncomprises five diaries and 30 letters written during the war. -RaffaeleCattaneo, deputy minister in charge of international relations of Italy’sLombardia region, called Vietnam a “diamond” of Asia and an attractivedestination for Lombardia enterprises while speaking at a recent business andinvestment forum in Milan.
Lombardia’s export revenue to the Southeast Asiannation last year reached 2.5 billion USD, accounting for nearly 40% of thetotal trade value between the two countries, Cattaneo told the forum.
