- Prof. Dr. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)’s Central Committee on October 31 had a discussion with participants of a training course for officials planned for the 14th Party Central Committee, focusing on a number of issues on a new era – the era of the nation’s rise.
The Party chief said that this is an era of development and prosperity under the leadership of the CPV, with the successful building of a socialist Vietnam with wealthy people, a strong nation, and a democratic, fair, and civilised society standing shoulder to shoulder with the world's great powers, in which every citizen enjoys a prosperous and happy life and receives support to develop and get rich, making more and more contributions to global peace, stability, development, human happiness, and global civilisation. - Leaders of Brunei, the Philippines, Thailand, and Mozambique have extended their congratulations to Luong Cuong on his election as President of Vietnam.

- Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on November 1 visited Qatar Energy-invested Ras Laffan industrial city, 80 kilometres to the northeast of Doha before wrapping up his official visit to the Middle Eastern country.
The industrial complex houses major oil refineries and gas processing facilities, including ORYX GTL, Pearl GTL, and Dolphin. With its enclosed artificial bay spanning 4,500 hectares of water surface, Ras Laffan serves as Qatar's primary liquefied gas production hub and the world's largest LNG export facility. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia and Qatar from October 27 to November 1 have garnered widespread attention from prominent Middle Eastern media outlets which have stated the trips will have positive impacts on relations between Vietnam and these countries in the coming time.
In its recent article, the UAE’s oldest English-language daily, Khaleej Times, quoted Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid AL Maktoum: “Vietnam is among Asia’s fastest-growing economies, and we are their largest regional trade partner.” The statement came as the two nations signed their Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), Vietnam’s first free trade pact with an Arab country. - Vietnam’s agro-forestry-aquatic product exports are likely to achieve a record high of 62 billion USD in 2024, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien.
Tien said that in the first ten months of this year, the sector’s export revenue reached 51.74 billion USD, an increase of 20.2% compared to the same period of last year.
