An additional 10 patients tested positive to A(H1N1) flu on July 12, bringing the total of confirmed cases to 295 by 5 pm on the same day.

The Department of Preventive Medicine and Environment under the Ministry of Health added that no death has been reported so far, updating the situation late in the afternoon.

A majority of these cases have been released from hospital after treatment, it said.

Now 74 patients, including the latest cases, are in isolation for medical treatment. They are in stable conditions, showing no serious symptoms, the Ministry of Health reported.

The ministry warned foreign arrivals and the community to stay alert against the complicated developments of the epidemic by strictly following preventive measures.

The ministry also pledged to work closely with local administrations, relevant ministries and agencies as well as foreign countries and international organisations to monitor the epidemic while taking numerous measures to mitigate the spread and impact of the disease to the community./.
