Almost 9.6 billion VND was raised for the disabled and orphans in the 8 th “One Heart, One World” charity programme that was held in Hanoi on April 9.
Almost 9.6 billion VND was raised for the disabled and orphans in the8 th “One Heart, One World” charity programme that was held in Hanoion April 9.

The event, which was televised live on VTV1was jointly organised by the Vietnam Association in Support of DisabledPeople and Orphans, the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and SocialAffairs and the Vietnam Television.

The “One Heart, One World”programme is an annual event with the aim of calling for donations fromthe community to assist disabled people and orphans in rural and remoteareas.

During the programme, participants had the opportunityto meet outstanding disadvantaged people, who have overcomedifficulties to integrate well into the community.

In theprevious event, the Vietnam Association in Support of Disabled Peopleand Orphans received more than 117 billion VND from the domestic andforeign organisations, individuals and businesses./.
