US Ambassador to Singapore David Adelman emphasised American businesses’
interest in Vietnam during his meeting with Ho Chi Minh City
mayor Le Hoang Quan in the city on December 1.
Adelman is leading a business mission of AmCham-Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City for market survey. He told Quan, who is officially called Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, that most of American businesses in Singapore have highly valued Vietnam ’s potential.
AmCham Singapore has over 700 companies with over 4,000 entrepreneurs operating in various industries.
For his part, Quan pledged all favourable conditions for foreign businesses to invest or do business in HCM City , the largest economic hub in Vietnam .
He released a list of projects in need of investment such as safe water supply, traffic infrastructure including metro stations./.
