Leaders of the Angolan province of Huila highly appreciated the contributions of Vietnamese community to the local socio-economic development.

At a working session with Vietnamese Ambassador to Angola Do Ba Khoa recently, Huila’s officials also hailed Vietnam’s experiences in economic and rural development as well as poverty reduction and expressed wishes to cooperate with Vietnam in agriculture, silviculture, foods, construction materials and tourism.

They added that the province also welcomes Vietnamese experts and specialists in the fields of education, healthcare, and agriculture.

Ambassador to Angola Do Ba Khoa, who paid a working visit to the province at the invitation of Governor Joao Marcelino Tyipinge, suggested the provincial leaders to study the successful agriculture models in neighbouring province of Benguela supported by Vietnamese experts.

The ambassador also informed that the Vietnamese community in Huila will present 25 tonnes of rice to local needy people on the occasion of Christmas this year.-VNA
