APEC disaster management officials to meet in Nghe An

The two-day meeting will gather about 200 delegates from APEC member economies, international organisations, and businesses.
The forum is set to focus on boosting cooperation and innovation related to technologies for natural disaster prevention.
Information exchange and the concept of making disasters the new normal via better preparation will be among highlighted topics of discussion.
Vietnam, an APEC member, is subject to frequent calamities.
The venue – Nghe An province – has just been hit by storm Doksuri, the 10th storm arising in the East Sea and the strongest one hitting Vietnam in many years.-VNA
