Aquatic Asia 2011 introduced in HCM City

An international exhibition on aquaculture in Asia, Aquatic Asia 2011, will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 9-11, said a press briefing held in HCM City on July 16.
An international exhibition on aquaculture in Asia, Aquatic Asia 2011, will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 9-11, said a press briefing held in HCM City on July 16.

Deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s representative agency in HCM City Nguyen Thi Ngoc Trang said Aquatic Asia 2011 is a trade promotion activity in the Asia-Pacific and a bridge linking seafood processors, distributors and consumers in the region.

“The exhibition will be a good opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to not only access new production methods and the latest equipment and facilities for aquaculture but also to learn from other’s experiences and promote Vietnam’s seafood products in the region”, she added.

General Manager of Thailand’s N.C.C. Exhibition Organiser Co., Ltd. (NEO) Ladda Mongkolchaivivat said apart from trade promotion activities, the exhibition will focus on researching and marketing fish, molluscs, crustaceans and seaweed.

Symposiums on aquaculture development and activities to introduce the business strategies and products of participating businesses will also be held during the three-day exhibition./.
