Argentina: a friend of Vietnam

Argentina regards itself as a friend of Vietnam, said the Argentinean Minister of Foreign Relations and Worship.
Argentina regards itself as a friend of Vietnam, Argentinean Minister of Foreign Relations and Worship Hector Timerman said in an interview granted to Vietnam News Agency in Hanoi on January 21.

The interview is within the framework of Argentinean President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner’s official visit to Vietnam .

Regarding the Vietnam-Argentina relations over the past years, Timerman said to Argentina , this is a historic relationship as Argentinean people always admire Vietnam ’s struggle in the past. The friendly relationship between the two countries has been demonstrated in various fields such as politics, economics, and society.

The visit of President Kirchner’s will help further boost the ties, especially in trade, he said.

“We Argentinean people travel abroad not only to seek partners and promote our products, but also to share our experience and knowledge with the countries we come to, especially developing countries that we call the Southern bloc”, he stressed.

Timerman went on to say that his country prioritises strengthening relations with developing countries, including Vietnam . The two sides can support each other in many fields through specific activities such as exchanges of high-ranking delegations like the ongoing visit of the Argentinean President.

Mentioning Vietnam ’s trade deficit with Argentina , the Minister said Vietnamese businesses will surely find their opportunities in Argentina as well as American Latin countries, adding that Argentina can be a bridge linking Vietnam and these markets.

“Vietnamese businesses, if you also come to Argentina, will find a market for your products,” the minister affirmed./.VNA
