An art exchange programme “Nhung tam long cao ca” was held in Hanoi and televised on November 10 to celebrate 15 years of World Social Work Day.
The audience listened to songs, watched a video report and talked with outstanding figures involved in social work and the caring and protection of children and the elderly.
The programme was designed to give the public an insight into policies that protect and care for children with difficulties, how to help disadvantaged kids integrate into the community and training plans for social workers in the future.
It also aimed to acknowledge outstanding agencies and individual contributions to community development.
At the event, the organising board in collaboration with donors presented 900 gifts worth over 900 million VND to welfare centres in Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City , Lao Cai, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc and Quang Ngai provinces.
