An art performance in Hanoi on Jan. 14 raised over 25 billion VND (1.2 million USD) to the National Fund for Vietnamese Children.
The programme, the fourth of its kind so far, was aimed to help disadvantaged children across the country, especially in the up-coming traditional New Year festival (Tet).

Addressing the event, Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan said, over the past year, millions of Vietnamese children received heart and eye operations and scholarships and benefited from safe water and school construction projects, with funding provided by the National Fund for Vietnamese Children.

On this occasion, the fund called on organisations and individuals both in and outside the country to continue helping Vietnamese disadvantaged children enjoy a happy new year./.
