More than 300 artefacts from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries are on display at a new exhibition at the Vietnam Museum of History in HCM City.

A majority of the items, many of which date back to the 12th century, are Vietnamese and Lao decorative and prayer objects in wood, bronze, silver stone and baked-clay.

Cambodian items include silver bowls, brown-glazed urns, bronze bells and statues of the Buddha from the 13th entury.

Also on display is an array of 19th century metal swords and daggers from Malaysia as well as ceramics and bronze relics from other Southeast Asian countries including Thailand , Indonesia , Brunei and the Philippines .

The exhibition will remain open at 2 Nguyen Binh Khiem street in district 1 until December 15.-VNA
