Nanning (VNA) – The second ASEAN-China industry & trade conference, themed “Protecting and developing trademarks,” took place in Nanning city of China’s Guangxi province on September 12.

The event, held on the sidelines of the ongoing 13 th ASEAN-China Expo, attracted government officials, scholars and business representatives from the bloc and China.

Participants presented updates on their trademark protection and marketing and discussed measures to boost bilateral cooperation in trademark intellectual property.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Chinese State Administration of Industry and Commerce Liu Junchen said China and ASEAN need to strengthen trademark protection, exchanges and cooperation for the healthy development of their economies.

Liu informed that China is making it easier for trademark registration, contributing to economic development.

Officials from Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar analysed the development of trademark intellectual property and highlighted collaboration between China and ASEAN in industry and trade, towards strengthening trust and determination to reinforce regional economic and trade ties.-VNA
