The ASEAN-China Joint Cooperation Committee (ACJCC) on March 25 convened its 15th meeting at the ASEAN Secretariat headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The event examined the implementation of the ASEAN-China Plan of Action 2011-2015, follow-up actions on decisions and proposals made by the leaders at the 16th ASEAN-China Summit in October 2013 in Brunei, and projects and activities organised by the two sides.

The meeting also discussed other important issues such as the implementation of the ASEAN-China Cultural Exchange Year 2014 and the preparation for the ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference session with China next August.

Participants exchanged views on ways and means to move forward ASEAN-China cooperation in the three pillars, covering politics-security, economics, and socio-culture.

ACJCC was co-chaired by Suvat Chirapant, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, and Yang Xiuping, Ambassador of the Mission of China to ASEAN.-VNA
