Senior officials of ASEAN member states and representatives of the bloc’s Secretariat attended a five-day study visit on productivity and innovation focusing on performance management in the Republic of Korea (RoK) recently, the Secretariat said on its website.
The study visit was carried out with the assistance of the RoK m inistries and agencies and professors from the Central Officials Training Institute (COTI) and the National University of the RoK to help ASEAN officials learn from the country’s experience and best practice on performance management system.
This visit is one of the nine pilot projects under the ASEAN Conference on Civil Service Matters+3 (with China, the RoK, and Japan) and its work plan initiated by Lao s in collaboration with COTI.
According to the initial plan, similar visits will be implemented in China and Japan next year.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.-VNA
