Embassies of Southeast Asian nations in Switzerland together held ASEAN Family Day on September 21 to mark the bloc’s 46th founding anniversary.
The event was a good opportunity to display the solidarity, mutual cooperation and understanding between the bloc’s country members, Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland Nguyen The Phiet said at the event.
This year’s festival included various activities helping members better understand the diversification of ASEAN nations’ cultural heritages. Participants were impressed by the Vietnamese lion dance which concluded the event’s artistic show.
Switzerland is home to more than 30,000 people from ASEAN countries, including staff from representative agencies, businesspeople and research students.
ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.-VNA
