The Vietnamese Ambassador in   Mexico   has joined four other counterparts from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to present gifts to three educational institutions over there.  

This annual charitable activity, which this year also involved ambassadors from  Thailand , the  Philippines ,  Malaysia  and  Indonesia , aims to strengthen ties between the ASEAN and   Mexico.  

The presentation ceremony, which took place in the Vietnamese embassy, witnessed Indonesian Ambassador Andung Nitimihardja, the president per rota of the ASEAN diplomatic corps in   Mexico  , hand over gifts to the Primary School named after the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Helping Hand Institute and the Association for the Protection of Women.  

Each beneficiary received some 10,000 Mexican pesos, which was raised from an annual fair held by the grouping’s diplomatic corps.   

The head of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam School, Luz Maria Palacios, expressed thanks for the aid, which she said has helped the school partially address their lack of teaching aids and study equipment./.
