By the19th minute, Vietnam had made several attacks but missed the target.

Japandefeated Pakistan 4-0 in an earlier match of Group D on the same day. Vietnam will play against Japan on August 19 for the first place of Group D.
InGroup B, Thailand and Bangladesh tied one all, while Uzbekistan won 6-0 overQatar.
