Asian children draw their lives

A painting contest called “Asian Children’s Artists Day Mitsubishi-Enikki 2010-2011” was launched in Hanoi on October 13.
A painting contest called “Asian Children’s Artists Day Mitsubishi-Enikki 2010-2011” was launched in Hanoi on October 13.

Children aged between 6 and 12 are entitled to enter the contest, whichhas been co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’sDepartment for Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions and the JapaneseUnion of UNESCO Associations.

With the theme “This is my life”,the entrants have to describe their daily lives in the form of apictorial diary of five paintings, with a short description of eachpicture they draw.

The contest is aimed at encouraging childrento explore their artistic creativeness and express their ownunderstanding and experience of life./.

Vietnamese sports delegation leaves for ASIAD 20 in Japan

The Vietnamese delegation comprises 496 members, including athletes, coaches, experts, officials, doctors and medical staff. The teams will depart in several groups depending on their competition schedules, with the largest group expected to leave on September 16. The squad has set a target of winning at least four gold medals at ASIAD 20.
