The 3rd Asian Indoor Games closed at My Dinh National Stadium on Nov. 8 with sparkles of short-range fireworks and a special art performance.

Vietnam’s organising board handed over the flag and torch of the games to the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) representative.

Host Vietnam ranked second at the games with 42 gold, 30 silver and 22 bronze medals.

China came first with 48 gold, 25 silver and 19 bronze medals. The third place went to Kazakhstan with 21 gold, 16 silver and 21 bronze medals.
 
The ten-day games, the second biggest regional sporting event that Vietnam has hosted since the Southeast Asian Games took place in the country six years ago attracted more than 4,000 athletes, coaches and officials from 43 countries and territories to compete in 20 official sporting events.

Host Vietnam, who sent over 500 athletes, coaches and officials to the event, themed “For a Rising Asia.”/.
