Asian Women’s Beach Volleyball Champs opens

The Asian Women’s Beach Volleyball Championships opened in Tuan Chau beach of the northern province of Quang Ninh on April 29, attracting the participation of 17 teams from 11 countries and territories around the world.

The two-day event ispart of the Ha Long – Quang Ninh Tourism Week, jointly held by theVolleyball Federation of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, Quang NinhDepartment of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Au Lac Company Limited.


It will close on April 30. The winning team will get 3,000 USD from a total funding of 15,000 USD for the event./.

The Vietnamese delegation comprises 496 members, including athletes, coaches, experts, officials, doctors and medical staff. The teams will depart in several groups depending on their competition schedules, with the largest group expected to leave on September 16.
