The executive committee of the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association of Hanoi gathered for consultation in the capital city on Nov. 28 to discuss activities for the 2009-2014 term.

The consultation meeting was attended by the Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam , Vizi Laszlo, and 21 members of the executive committee.

Participants determined to step up exchanges of economic, cultural and education information amongst friendship and humanitarian organisations of the two sides as well as between the two capital cities and two countries in the future.

This is expected to encourage organisations and businesses of all economic sectors in Vietnam and Hungary to partner, contributing to socio-economic development of the two countries.

The association will organise cultural and sports programmes as well as trade and science workshops to promote mutual understanding between the people of Hanoi and Budapest in particular and people of Vietnam and Hungary in general.

The Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association of Hanoi now comprises nine branches that operate within the business circle, schools, media agencies and social organisations, with a total 317 members.
