Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh has praised the role of Thai military attachés in fostering military ties as well as cooperation between Thailand and Vietnam.

He gave a reception for the outgoing Thai military attachés in Vietnam, led by Colonel Krieng Anantasan, in Hanoi on October 3, during which he affirmed the Defence Ministry’s willingness to work and talk with the incoming attachés to further deepen the two armies’ wide-ranging ties.

Both sides have seen new developments in cooperation over the past time and agreed to well maintain collaboration in search and rescue exercise-combined joint patrols.

They have also shared a lot of experience in pilot training, flight safety, aviation techniques, management, cadet training and military medicines as well as social activities.

Colonel Krieng Anantasan, who is in charge of naval affairs, thanked the Defence Ministry for creating all favourable conditions for Thai military attachés to fulfill their missions in Vietnam.-VNA
